Why Legal Abuse Is Used

Legal abuse can therefore be used to force continued interaction, intimidate, increase financial pressure, punish separation or wear down resistance to an unwanted outcome.^{536, 537, 514, 540}

Tries to remove the children from your care

To threaten or reduce your role in your children’s lives and use the potential loss of their care as a means of pressure and control.^{506, 550, 557}
